A "trouble-maker" lovelorn passenger travelling in business class may be behind the hijack note scare created on Jet Airways' Mumbai-Delhi flight on Monday morning which forced the aircraft to land in Ahmedabad.
A crew member found the note written in Urdu and English, warning of blowing the aircraft up mid-air unless it is diverted to PoK.
According to top sources, a passenger travelling on seat 1A of business class section of this flight has confessed to leaving this note in the aircraft lavatory. "He confessed to keeping the note in the lav to destabilise operations of Jet. He is also reported to be having an affair with a lady crew member of Jet," said a top official. The same passenger had earlier created ruckus on a Jet flight last July by claiming that there was a "cockroach" in his meal.
The passenger was arrested. He has been identified as Salla Birju (38).

The flight had taken off from Mumbai at 2.55 am and after the discovery of this note, the pilot informed air traffic control that "I have got a letter saying explosives and hijackers are on board." As soon as the crew informed ground authorities of the note while heading for Ahmedabad, a bomb threat assessment committee comprising of top security and aviation .
